Tableau: Sales and Customer Dashboard

🚀 Excited to Share my Latest Project: A comprehensive Sales and Customer Dashboard built using Tableau. 📊 


🥅Objective :


1) Created two dashboards—one for sales and one for customer insights—for stakeholders sales manager and executives at Young Enterprises


2) The purpose of sales dashboard is to present an overview of the sales metrics and trends to analyze year-over-year sales performance and understand sales trends.


3) The customer dashboard aims to provide an overview of customer data, Trends, and behaviors. It will help marketing teams and management to understand customer segments and improve customer satisfaction.


📅Data Used: Non-EU datasets, including orders (fact), and customer, location, and products (dimensions).Details of each dataset:


A) Orders Dataset: Tracks details from Order ID, dates, and Shipping Mode, to Sales and Profit.


B) Customer Dataset: Contains Unique Customer Identifiers and Names.


C) Location Dataset: Maps Postal codes to Cities, States, and Regions.


D) Products Dataset: Includes Products IDs, Categories, and Names.


 

Build Data Source:


-- Created data model that relates Orders with other 3 Datasets. 


-- Renaming Field as Sales Data Source and removed .csv from all tables for better Presentation.


-- Checked Data Types In location table data type of region is string change it to region/country.



📋 Sales Dashboard!! 


The sales dashboard provides year-over-year metrics and trends to assess Sales performance. It Includes:


📈 KPI Overview: The dashboard's core features KPI summaries of total sales, profits, and quantity for the current and previous year, displayed prominently using big number bands for easy visibility.


📊 Sales Trends: The dashboard presents monthly 3 KPI data for the current and previous year, also highlighting the highest and lowest to quickly spot patterns and trends. Sparkline charts effectively display the data over time.


🛍 Product Subcategory Comparison: Sales performance by product subcategories is compared for the current and previous year, along with a sales vs. profit analysis. A bar-in-bar chart is used for this, along with a separate bar chart for profit.


📅 Weekly Trends for Sales & Profit: Weekly sales and profit data for the current year are shown with average values, highlighting weeks above and below the average to emphasize performance trends.



📋 Customer Dashboard!!


Customer dashboard highlights data and behaviors to help marketing teams and management understand customer segments and improve satisfaction. 


📈KPI Overview: Summarizes total customers, sales per customer, and total orders for the current and previous year.


📊 Customer Trends: Displays monthly KPIs for Current and Previous years.


🛒 Customer Distribution by Orders: Shows customer distribution based on order count using a histogram to analyze behavior and loyalty.


🔟 Top 10 Customers by Profit: Lists the top 10 customers by profit, including rank, orders, sales, profit, and last order date, using LOD expressions in a detailed table.



🚀 Interactivity Features:


👉 Dashboard Dynamic: - The Dashboard should allow users to check historical data by offering them the flexibility to select any desired year. Parameter constructed for this purpose.


👉 Switch between Dashboards: - Provide users with the ability to navigate between the dashboards easily using Icons.


👉 Data Filters : - Allow Users to Filter data by product information like category and subcategory and by location information like region, states, and city. 


 👉Filter Actions : - Make the charts and graphs interactive, enabling users to filter data using the charts.
